About Elaine
Elaine Chennatt, BSc, is a counselor and educator with almost a decade of experience supporting individuals from a range of backgrounds to progress toward their career and personal goals. Originally from London, she is now based in nipaluna (Hobart), Tasmania.
Elaine spent four years supporting young people’s development in educational settings, delivering careers education, information, and guidance and coaching them to build skills for life — resilience, confidence, public speaking, coping with failure, and positive reframing. She is completing an honours year in psychological science and has a special interest in bibliotherapy: how books and reading support well-being.
Elaine wrote for PositivePsychology.com as Elaine Mead. She is a contributing author of Career Journeys for Young People and a Tasmanian Writers’ Prize finalist, and her well-being and positive psychology writing has appeared in WellBeing Magazine, WORK180, Ethel Magazine, and Forty South. She reviews and interviews for Aniko Press.
