FAQS
Our team has put together answers to some frequently asked questions about Positive Psychology.
Membership (Practitioner or Practitioner Complete) is a separate, optional upgrade for practitioners who want access to our library of tools, worksheets, courses, and business resources—it’s not a paywall for the articles themselves.
Both. If you’re simply interested in personal growth and well-being, our free articles and free tools are built for you. If you’re a coach, therapist, educator, or other practitioner, our paid membership tiers give you a full library of session-ready tools, continuing education, and business resources designed specifically for people who support others professionally.
Yes. Every article is written or reviewed by a member of our team of psychologists and well-being professionals, and fact-checked against current peer-reviewed research before publication. Clinically oriented articles are additionally reviewed by a licensed clinical psychologist.
You get three real worksheets or exercises related to the specific topic you’re reading about—the same quality as our paid tools, just a small sample. No credit card is required, and there’s no obligation to continue to a paid plan afterward. Free tools are available on any topic across articles. Simply pick the category that interests you to get yours.
They’re yours to keep. There’s no expiration and no requirement to upgrade. You can use the free tools you’ve downloaded indefinitely, whether or not you ever subscribe.
There are two paid membership tiers: Practitioner ($359/year) and Practitioner Complete ($899/year).
Practitioner unlocks all 52 Tools products (8 physical anchor cards, 28 toolpacks, 13 digital anchor cards, and 3 PracticeLab worksheet series), with a license granting client usage rights, unlimited downloads, ad-free reading across the site, and a listing in our Practitioner Directory (coming soon).
Practitioner Complete includes everything in Practitioner, plus all 9 Education products (7 masterclasses, 2 skills labs, and the Becoming a Therapist course) and all 15 Growing Your Practice resources (5 X-products, 6 coaching manuals, 3 session blueprints, and the 7 Pillars course)—76 products in total.
No. Both Practitioner and Practitioner Complete include unlimited downloads across everything in your plan.
A public listing that helps individuals, organizations, and communities find and connect with practitioners like you. It’s included with both Practitioner and Practitioner Complete, and is coming soon—join the waitlist to be notified at launch.
For non-members, articles are ad-supported. Practitioner and Practitioner Complete members get ad-free reading across the site as part of their membership.

(a) Initial Purchase or Most Recent Renewal — Within 7 Days, Minimal Usage
If you request a refund within seven (7) days of an initial purchase or of the most recent auto-renewal charge, and your usage of the Service in the relevant billing period has been minimal (defined as: no more than one (1) login session, no completed course modules or practice examinations, and no certificates issued), PositivePsychology.com will issue a full refund of the disputed charge to the original payment method, and your access to the Service will end as of the refund date.
(b) Within 30 Days, Pro-Rated Refund Where Eligible
If you request a refund between eight (8) and thirty (30) days after an initial purchase or most recent auto-renewal charge, and you have used the Service beyond minimal usage but have not exhausted its principal benefit (e.g., have not completed a course, generated a certificate, or completed a substantial portion of content), PositivePsychology.com may, in its discretion, issue a pro-rated refund based on the time elapsed and the value of any features used. A pro-rated refund is not guaranteed and is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
(c) After 30 Days
Refunds are not generally available more than thirty (30) days after the charge in question. You may, however, cancel your Membership at any time as described in Section 1 to prevent further auto-renewal charges.
Yes, you can downgrade your membership from Practitioner Complete to Practitioner at any time from your account settings. The downgrade takes effect immediately, and you will lose access to all content exclusive to Practitioner Complete as soon as the change is made, including:
All 9 Education products (7 masterclasses, 2 skills labs, and the Becoming a Therapist course)
All 15 Growing Your Practice products (5 X-products, 6 manuals, 3 blueprints, and the 7 Pillars course)
Your account will continue to include everything available under the Practitioner plan.
Since Practitioner Complete is billed at a higher rate, you may be eligible for a pro-rated refund of the price difference, depending on when you downgrade and how much you’ve used the Service:
If you downgrade within 7 days of your last charge and have had minimal usage (no more than one login session, no completed course modules, and no certificates issued), you’ll receive a full refund of the price difference to your original payment method.
If you downgrade between 8 and 30 days after your last charge and haven’t exhausted the plan’s principal benefit, a pro-rated refund may be issued at our discretion, based on the time elapsed and the features you’ve used. This isn’t guaranteed and is evaluated case by case.
After 30 days, refunds are not generally available, but downgrading will still stop future charges at the Practitioner Complete rate.
